2017 Toyota Sequoia Canadian Release Date

While the Toyota Corolla is the longest-running vehicle on the Toyota lineup, having been introduced way back in 1966, the Sequoia is the oldest current model on the lineup. What we mean by that is, the Sequoia has only had minor changes since it entered its second generation back in 2008. It hasn’t even had a mid-generation refresh since then. The Tundra entered its current generation the year prior to the Sequoia, but it underwent a pretty major facelift a couple of years ago.

While we’re crossing our fingers for a breath of fresh air to come to our favorite full-size SUV, we think the fact that it has lasted so long in its current state is a testament to just what a great option it is in its segment. The 2017 Toyota Sequoia didn’t receive any updates at all, but we’re just excited for its fast-approaching Canadian release date for this very reason.

“The Sequoia is the full-size SUV that only Toyota could build – delivering the perfect combination of capability, durability and safety – plus a full-sized range of premium comfort and convenience features.”

– Larry Hutchinson, Vice President of Sales, Toyota Canada Inc.

2017 Sequoia Specs & Features

As we mentioned, nothing has changed for the new model year for the Toyota Sequoia. Which means all of its outstanding specs and features are back for another run in 2017. That includes an impressive amount of versatility and space, plus a hearty dose of power and capability.

Features like a 60/40-splitting rear seat, a roof rack, power-reclining third row, two power outlets, a Blu-ray Disc rear-seat entertainment system, JBL Audio system, and its powerful 5.7L V8 engine all return to deliver the total package for the SUV class and we couldn’t be happier with the vehicle. We’ll keep you posted if anything changes. Be sure to check back often to find out when the Sequoia officially arrives.
